Robb & Lulu have once again made their mark at Miami Swim Week, presenting their “Pineapples and Palms” collection at the W South beach on July 15th. The designer couple continue to prove that Australian designers are competitive with the worlds best. The creative duo, Robb and Lulu Zagame, love to show the world that Australian swimwear is all about effervescent colours and prints, flawless quality and creating the perfect piece for every woman.
Now on their second show, Robb & Lulu lived up to expectations and paraded a wave of electric colour! Their newest collection “Pineapples & Palms”, boasted a Panther print embellished with striking blue hues, Fruit Tingle with pops of yellow, and Tropicana a perfect mix of exotic blooms.
The fashion pair matched high waisted ‘cheeky pants’ with feminine bikini tops. They played with different bikini styles incorporating high neck halter-tops, basic triangle shapes, bustier bandeau tops and almost everything in between. The runway showcased a vast range of styles, which would impress any woman.
Balancing these prints, we saw soft pops of pink sorbet, berry, mint green, bali blue resembling the perfect ocean and of course, offered in the collection are staple black and white for those less daring.
Moving away from the pool, models strutted down the runway wearing playsuits, kaftans and effortless summer dresses, which could accompany the perfect swimsuit, and be worn for both day and night. The hand illustrated kaftans and playsuits only add to the fun, glamorous and luxurious spirit of the brand. Designer Lulu said this collection was unlike anything she has created before and "gives women a chance to feel powerful and feminine, due to the softer, pastel colour palette used for the 2017 swim season".
Robb & Lulu’s runway show at Miami Swim week has generated incredible media buzz, gaining the brand print coverage in Harpers Bazaar, Retreat Magazine, Composure and Muscle & Fitness. Online, the brand has won features by Daily Mail, Popsugar.com, People Magazine, Bikini.com, Daily Telegraph and multiple other online sources.
The Robb & Lulu name is certainly one to keep an eye on this summer.....
